At A Glance: '18 Hallett Hoosier Super Tour

Storylines/Things to Watch:
Hello Hallett! -- The fourth venue of the Hoosier Super Tour season, Hallett Motor Racing Circuit is a 1.8-mile, 10-turn road course found in Oklahoma’s beautiful, rolling Osage Hills.  There are nearly 150 entries for the weekend, with healthy fields in Spec Miata, Spec Racer Ford Gen3 and Super Touring® Lite.  Keep an eye on the Formula Vee, GT-2, Touring 2 and E Production classes, too.

Revving Up April – April is when the pace quickens for the 2018 Hoosier Super Tour.  This weekend’s race at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit is the first of three events for the month.  Immediately after Hallett is the April 13-15 visit to VIRginia International Raceway, followed by an April 27-29 trip to the West Coast and Buttonwillow Raceway Park in California.

Weather or Not – Last year’s Hoosier Super Tour visit to Hallett included a fair amount of wind, but that’s not too uncommon for that track and that part of the country.  Things could again be a little gusty at times this year, with temperatures topping out in the upper 40s on Saturday and low 60s on Sunday.  The prediction is for partly-sunny skies both days, but no rain.

Check it Out in Person -- The Hoosier Super Tour visit to Hallett Motor Racing Circuit is open to spectators. Tickets are $12 per day or $20 for the whole weekend for adults.  Children 5 to 11 years old are only $5 a day.  Children younger than 5 years old get in free.  Fans are offered exciting views of the action from three grandstands and from hillsides throughout the infield.  And for those that get a little peckish, the Finish Line Café has some of the best track food in the country. If you can’t get to the track, follow all the action at www.scca.com/live with live timing/scoring, trackside video cameras and Super Tour Radio presented by Hoosier Racing Tire.
