Contingency Programs: Need to Know

SCCA® has amazing partners who offer contingency to SCCA competitors in the Hoosier Racing Tire Super Tours, U.S. Majors Tours, Club Regional Road Racing and the Runoffs Championships. Partners include auto manufacturers, aftermarket equipment manufacturers, retail sales businesses and tire companies.

Silver, Gold and Platinum contingency programs require pre-registration with SCCA. Pre-registration must be completed each year prior to competition. Bronze level programs may require registration with the partner company, but do not require registration with SCCA. U.S. Majors Tour registration does not include the Championship Runoffs.

Complete and accurate contingency participation is your responsibility. Make sure to register and follow the award requirements for each programs you choose. Failure to comply with all requirements will result in non-payment of awards.

Contingency Registration Instructions:

  1. Review the program information. Click your chosen program heading in the menu below ("Road Racing - US Majors Tour", etc). Then, use the links by each partner to find the requirements and benefits of each contingency program. Where applicable, claim form links are also included. It is your responsibility to have claim forms on hand at events to be signed by tech officials.
  2. Cash payout programs. You must have a W-9 with up-to-date information on file only if there is a cash payout coming from SCCA. Submit a completed form by e-mail or by regular mail (SCCA, 6620 SE Dwight St, Topeka, KS 66619 c/o Accounting). To receive your cash contingency awards (and all other SCCA payments) by direct deposit, also submit an ACH form
  3. Register. Use the "Register Now" button at the bottom of the drop down box register for Platinum, Gold and/or Silver contingency programs. Remember, you must register individually for each series, sponsor and class—each year.

Electronic Contingency Claim Form Process: You may now submit an electronic claim form after each event to collect awards. To learn how to make a electronic claim, please click here for instructions and the claim form link.
