You're exactly where you should be.

Two paths. Both start today.

Sports Car Club of America™ is built on people as much as cars. Volunteer at an event today, or learn what it takes to get a car when you are ready.

Get Trackside

Be part of the action without owning a car.

Every SCCA® event runs on volunteers — corner marshals, tech inspectors, grid workers and more — and you can start without a car, without experience and with a mentor beside you.

SCCA Academy offers online Flagging & Communications training that takes less than 90 minutes and leads to a Certified Regional F&C license.

From there, SCCA officials go on to work IMSA, IndyCar, NASCAR and Formula 1 events. Meet a few who made the climb below.

Want to drive?
You need a car, but not necessarily your own.

Rent a race car from a prep shop.

Some race prep shops offer arrive-and-drive rentals, so you can get on track without building or owning a car. Many also provide trackside support at circuits across the country. Browse the listings to see what each shop offers.

Race cars, built by SCCA Enterprises.

SCCA Enterprises builds and delivers specialty spec race cars, including the Spec Racer® Ford, Formula Enterprises® and the Enterprises Sports Racer.

Ride along or co-drive.

Driving takes a car, of course, but there is more than one way to get behind the wheel. At Regional events like Autocross and RallyCross®, many members are open to co-driving or letting a newcomer ride along.

Buy one car, do all the things.

Club Spec is a set of cars that share one simple recipe across several programs: a Mustang, a Miata and the Cayman. They can run in Autocross, Time Trials, RoadRally, RallyCross and some Road Racing.
