Race prep needs vary widely, and so do the shops that support them. Depending on where you look, you’ll find annual SCCA® inspection, chassis setup and dyno tuning, custom fabrication, roll cage installation, engine and transmission work, body repair, new car builds, coaching, arrive-and-drive rentals and parts sales — some shops specialize in one or two of these, others run full-service operations covering every stage from design to race day.
Their support extends well past the shop floor. Many of these shops provide trackside service at circuits across the country — from Sonoma Raceway and Laguna Seca on the West Coast to Daytona International Speedway and Sebring International Raceway in the Southeast, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in the Midwest and Watkins Glen International in the Northeast — so competitors can find support close to home or on the road.
