What are the different membership options and costs?

SCCA offers two primary membership options, Regular or Associate, allowing you to choose the level of involvement that best fits your participation goals.

If you’re attending one event, a Weekend Membership may be all you need. If you find yourself coming back for “just one more event” (a common condition among motorsports enthusiasts), a Regular Membership offers the most benefits, privileges, and long-term value!

Check the Supplemental Regulations (“supps”) for the event to verify membership requirements.  These can typically be found on the event’s registration page.

Who has to be an SCCA Member?

If you’re participating in an SCCA-sanctioned event, chances are you’ll need an SCCA membership. In SCCA terms, a participant includes not only drivers, but also crew members, event officials, announcers, ambulance crews, tow truck operators, pit gate workers, and anyone issued official event credentials at event check-in.

Region FAQs

Who do I contact with Region-related questions?

Reach the Region Development team at [email protected], or contact Abby Scher, Senior Manager of Region Development, directly for charter, convention, or Region leadership questions.

What kind of ongoing support does Region Development provide beyond conventions and charters?

The department is a standing resource for Region leadership on day-to-day operating questions — officer transitions, event planning support, understanding Club policy, and general troubleshooting. It also connects Regions to each other and to National programs, so leaders aren’t solving the same problems in isolation.

How does a new Region get started?

A group must organize as a functioning corporation with at least 25 eligible members, an elected governing body, and a plan to hold regular meetings and events consistent with SCCA’s purpose. It also needs approval from the Region currently assigned to that territory, or a successful appeal to the Board of Directors if that approval isn’t granted. Region Development guides prospective groups through the application process to the Board.

Where can I find training for Region leaders?

SCCA offers a variety of leadership and educational opportunities throughout the year, including SCCA Academy courses, Marketing Shadow Sessions, Office Hours, Quarterly Region Meetings, Divisional Conventions, and the National Convention.

How do I update my Region officers?

Region officer information is managed through the Member Account Portal (MAP). Keeping your officer information current ensures the National Office can communicate with the right leaders and provide access to Region resources.
