The conversations started during Convention often lead to new ideas, stronger events, innovative programs, and lasting connections throughout the year.

SPARK

One Spark Can Change Everything.
Every great idea starts somewhere.
Every successful Region initiative.
Every future leader.
Every innovative event format.
Every new Member who becomes a lifelong enthusiast.
They all begin the same way: with a spark.

The 2027 National Convention theme, SPARK, celebrates the power of individual action, shared purpose, and collective momentum. It recognizes that meaningful change doesn’t start with massive initiatives or perfect plans. It starts when people choose to step forward, contribute an idea, help a fellow member, solve a problem, or lead by example.

Throughout Convention week, we’ll explore how small actions create significant impact and how those sparks, when connected across the Club, help fuel SCCA’s future.

Be the Spark.

Leadership begins with ownership. Step forward, share ideas, support others, and help create the future you want to see.

Create a Spark.

Progress happens when ideas become action. Learn from successful Regions, programs, and leaders who are turning challenges into opportunities and creating positive change throughout the Club.

Fuel the Future.

The strongest ideas don’t stop with one person or one Region. Together, we can build momentum, scale what works, develop future leaders, and create a stronger SCCA for generations to come. The future of SCCA isn’t powered by programs alone. It’s powered by people.

One spark can change everything.

Drivers Belong Here, Too

The National Convention isn’t just for Region leaders.
Drivers and competitors attend Convention to learn about program updates, future initiatives, licensing pathways, event innovations, and opportunities to help shape the future of the sports they love.

Whether you participate in Solo®, Road Racing, Time Trials, RallyCross®, RoadRally, Track Events, or Race Experience programs, Convention offers opportunities to hear directly from program leaders and participate in conversations that influence the future of SCCA.

Annual Meeting

Similar to your Region, the SCCA hosts an Annual Meeting that includes the recognition of existing and newly elected Board Directors, updates on the State of the Club, SCCA Ventures, and the SCCA Foundation, as well as a preliminary annual financial report (with audited financial results available in the second quarter).

The Annual Meeting was on January 16, 2025 at 6:30 pm Central, the recording can be located in the Member Account Portal (MAP).

SCCA Hall of Fame + Highest Awards

Since 2004, the SCCA Hall of Fame has served to preserve, protect and record the history and accomplishments of the Club for current and future members by recognizing those members who have had a significant impact on the Club and the sport. This may be through service to the national organization, achievements in competition, advancement of the sport, or bringing recognition to the SCCA that inspires enthusiasts to seek out and become members of the SCCA. Nominations are submitted to and reviewed by the Hall of Fame Selection Committee who generally select five SCCA Members to be inducted.

We also take the time to present the Club’s highest awards, the Member of Excellence award goes to a Member selected by the SCCA Board of Directors who provides a great contribution to the Club overall regardless of competition area throughout the previous year, and the Woolf Barnato award – SCCA’s highest award – presented to the Member who has made the most outstanding long-term contribution. Winners are nominated by the last three recipients and approved by the Board of Directors.

Why you should attend?

  1. Shape the Future
This is where conversations spark change.

Hear the Club’s strategic priorities for the year ahead, learn about emerging initiatives across SCCA, and participate in discussions that help shape the future of our programs, events, and member experience.

  2. Strengthen Your Leadership
Whether you lead a Region, volunteer at events, manage a program, or simply want to make a greater impact, Convention offers opportunities to develop new skills, build confidence, and learn from experienced leaders across the country.
  3. Grow Your Programs and Events
Discover practical strategies for organizing, marketing, and improving events of every size. Learn what’s working in other Regions and programs, exchange ideas with fellow Members, and bring home solutions you can put into action right away.
  4. Connect with Fellow Members
One of the most valuable parts of Convention is the opportunity to learn from people who share your passion for motorsports and the Club. Meet Members from across the country, exchange ideas, solve challenges together, and build relationships that continue long after Convention ends.
  5. Learn Directly from Program Leaders
Get updates on the programs you care about most, participate in town halls and open discussions, ask questions, and hear directly from the volunteers and staff helping guide the future of SCCA.
  6. Elevate the Member Experience
Better communication, stronger teamwork, innovative ideas, and engaged volunteers all contribute to stronger Regions and better events. Convention helps us learn from one another so we can create the best possible experience for every SCCA Member.
  7. Invest in Yourself
Every successful leader, volunteer, official, and organizer starts somewhere. Whether you’re new to SCCA or have decades of experience, Convention offers opportunities to learn something new, share your knowledge, and find fresh inspiration for the year ahead.
