SCCA In the Media: Southern New York Region

The Southern New York Region Sports Car Club of America (SNYR-SCCA) got its autocross season rolling this past weekend at Binghamton University, and a reporter from WICZ-TV was there to chronicle the occasion.

In the news story, SNYR-SCCA Regional Executive Michelle DiGiacomo is quoted as saying, “There’s really low barriers to entry for autocross. You can race your daily driver with your regular wheels on to a fully modified vehicle. We set up a course, everything is very safe we have a lot of safety checks. and the cars will race through the timed course one at a time and race for the fastest time. A lot of it’s about skill.”

Check out the short story here, and be sure to watch the video featuring some of the Region’s autocross action, including one Mazda Miata hustling its way through the twisty course.
