I am now RETIRED but I owned my own auto repair shop for almost 30 years and am an ASE Master mechanic.  I have raced an H/P Bugeye Sprite, a Lola 596 S2000 car and currently race an ITC Plymouth Arrow, when it doesn't have a broken crankshaft!  As you can see, I am a fan of the unorthodox.  I have won Championships at our local Club Track (Waterford Hills) and have won a Regional Championship in my Sprite and competed at the Runoffs in my Lola.  The Lola has garnered a few SVRA Ribbons at Vintage Events (SCCA doesn't like S2 anymore...)

My race working side has included F&C at Waterford Hills (a LONG time ago!), Paddock Chief for the U.S.G.P in Detroit (worked that event for twenty years), Fire and Rescue (back of a wrecker and MERV Driver) at the Detroit Grand Prix, FIA Tech. Inspection (weigh bridge, mostly) for F1 ,WEC and F/E, and some Stewarding and Officiating at Waterford Hills. 

Oh, and my son, daughter, wife and now one grandson are all S.C.C.A Members and have all competed in my cars!
