Emergency Services Volunteer of the Year

First Awarded in 1985
Emergency Services volunteers provide the a variety of important services to SCCA Road Racing events. From corner marshalling, to staffing emergency response and fire safety vehicles, to on-call medical personnel, they stand ready throughout every session — and every incident — to respond when drivers need them most. Each year since 1985, the SCCA® Emergency Services Volunteer of the Year has recognized the member whose training, professionalism, and composure under pressure help protect competitors when it matters most.
Eligibility:

Award recipients demonstrate exceptional emergency response skills, thorough knowledge of race event medical and rescue protocols, and the ability to coordinate effectively with track officials and external emergency services under high-pressure conditions. They show dedication throughout the season to their specialty, SCCA events, Regions, competitors, fellow volunteers, and the Club as a whole, and exhibit strong skills, good leadership, and a willingness to go above and beyond what is expected to offer excellent customer service.

Nomination Information:

SCCA members submit nominations, with winners selected by SCCA National Staff with input from Division leadership. If a nomination is not received for a specific specialty, a Volunteer of the Year Award may not be presented that year.
