Bridgestone Becomes Official Tire of SCCA and Club Spec, And That’s Not All

Bridgestone and the Sports Car Club of America™ are partnering, naming Bridgestone as the Official Tire of SCCA, but the partnership runs far deeper than that. For one, Bridgestone will offer deals to SCCA members as part of the Club’s Member Benefits program. Furthermore, Bridgestone will work directly with SCCA’s Track Night in America® Driven by Tire Rack, supporting SCCA Women on Track initiatives, and step front and center in SCCA’s Club Spec classes, including Solo Spec Coupe.

Bridgestone’s and SCCA’s involvement dates back some 20 years, with that history paving the way for an official partnership that supports competitive and enjoyable motorsport experiences for drivers at every level.

As part of this partnership, Bridgestone will offer discounts to members and non-members alike during a specific month in 2027 for an entry into a Track Night in America event, offering co-branded t-shirts to those taking advantage of the discount. This not only keeps money in the bank for all, but it also introduces non-members to the world of SCCA.

Bridgestone will help support SCCA Women on Track, an initiative that lowers the barrier to motorsports for females through scholarships, education, and more. In 2026, SCCA Women on Track offered more than a dozen scholarships alongside driver development programs to help support women in motorsports. With the help of Bridgestone, the program’s reach will continue to grow.

This announcement will also see a shift for SCCA’s Club Spec program, with Club Spec Mustang, Club Spec MX-5, and Club Spec Cayman all utilizing the Bridgestone Potenza RE-71RZ beginning in the 2027 season. Solo Spec Coupe will also shift to this Bridgestone tire.

“We couldn’t be more excited to move the entire Club Spec fleet, including Solo Spec Coupe, to Bridgestone beginning next year,” said Wagner. “Tire testing by SCCA members on Club Spec cars at the Test-n-Tune course at the 2026 Tire Rack SCCA Solo National Championships confirmed that this tire performs at the level needed for Club Spec and SSC. Top of our list was a tire that can perform in autocross and on the racetrack, but also be durable enough to use on the street. The RE-71RZ will not disappoint.
