Mission Foods to Become Title Sponsor of the SCCA National Championship Runoffs in 2026

What does Arrow McLaren, American Flat Track, MotorAmerica, NHRA, Road America, and the SCCA® National Championship Runoffs® all have in common? Believe it or not, tortillas.

Mission Foods is partnering with the Sports Car Club of America® to become the title sponsor of the 2026 edition of the SCCA Runoffs. This year’s Mission Foods SCCA National Championship Runoffs isn’t the first motorsports foray for the company largely known for flour tortillas, chips, and salsa, with Mission already having a major presence in IndyCar, motorcycle racing, drag racing, and more.

Mission Foods is also the Landmark Sponsor of the circuit’s Main Bridge, Turn 10 Bridge, and Beach Viewing Area at Road America, the racing circuit that will host the SCCA Runoffs once again in 2026, making this partnership a tasty combination.

Let’s Taco Bout It

Beyond being the CEO of Mission Foods, Juan Gonzalez is a motorsport enthusiast. A member of the SCCA since 2012, Gonzalez has been behind the wheel since age 6, racing in go-karts and later moving to motorcycles. That passion for racing eventually saw him earn his SCCA Road Racing competition license before entering the pro ranks in ALMS and SCCA Pro Racing-sanctioned series like Trans Am and Formula 4.

“There’s nothing better than a race weekend,” said Juan Gonzalez, Mission Foods Chief Executive Officer. “Mission Foods is proud to bring motorsports and fans together, just like our products bring people together around the table. We can’t wait to celebrate with the SCCA community at Road America.”

In many ways, this Runoffs partnership ties together a very special moment for SCCA’s historic winner-take-all National Championship event, as the Runoffs will take place at Road America one last time in 2026 before moving to Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta for 2027 and 2028. Mission Foods currently serves as the Official Tortillas, Wraps, Flatbreads, and Tortilla Chips of Road America as well as the Official Tortilla Chip of Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.

“SCCA couldn’t be more excited to have Mission Foods on board for the 2026 running of the Mission Foods SCCA Runoffs,” said SCCA President and CEO Mike Cobb. “Mission understands the motorsports community, so they know if there’s one thing SCCA members love just as much as motorsports, it’s great food.”

Consequently, it’s only natural that Mission Foods will also help bring tasty fun to the Friday night festivities at the 2026 Mission Foods Runoffs, with that gathering now being called the #2Fast2Tasty Friday Night Block Party. That gathering will kick off by recognizing the Tire Rack Pole winners and lead into south-of-the-border food offerings, expanded to address last year’s shortages. Once the tacos are walking and the margaritas are flowing, SCCA will head back to victory circle to recognize the Club’s Worker of the Year Presented by Mazda recipients.

Drivers will also get to see the Mission Foods logo on the checkered flag as they finish their Runoffs race.

You Had Me at Queso

In the same way that the SCCA has a variety of motorsport offerings to meet the needs of all automotive enthusiasts, Mission Foods offers something for everyone. While the company is renowned for its flour tortillas, tortilla chips, and salsa, Mission also makes dips, wraps, flatbreads, and Chicharrones.

Mission is a world powerhouse. Established by GRUMA, S.A.B. de C.V., in 1977, Mission Foods has grown to have a presence in more than 112 countries. Similar to the SCCA, GRUMA has a history dating back to the 1940s, with the Gonzalez family founding GRUMA in 1949. The company is still family owned.
