Registration for the 2026 United States RoadRally Challenge is Good to Go

Registration is now open for the 31st SCCA® United States Road Rally Challenge® (USRRC), taking place Oct. 9-11, 2026. Hosted this year by the St. Louis Region, RoadRally’s annual “Challenge” weekend will feature three national rallies that together will cover some 600 miles of rural Illinois roads across the river from St. Louis and the Gateway Arch.

This year’s USRRC also will include the Gateway Challenge Cup, a pair of rallies designed for the new or occasional rally team desiring to explore RoadRallies that are a bit longer than a typical afternoon or evening weekend event.

“The USRRC is a three-day event that has classes for all levels of competitors,” explains Jessica Toney, RoadRally Board chair.

In the past, “it was an event focused on gaining championship points,” Toney adds, “but it has expanded to become a destination-style weekend with a different style rally each day.”

The Challenge is one of her favorite events on the calendar, “and the weekend champions get customized jackets,” she notes.

This year marks the fifth time in the USRRC’s three-decade history that St. Louis Region, with help from SCCA’s Southern Illinois Region, has hosted the event. Previously, St. Louis hosted the weekend in 1998, 2001, 2005, and 2018.

The Comfort Inn in Edwardsville, Ill. (suburban St. Louis) will serve as this year’s event headquarters, with the rallies themselves exploring the countryside of southern Illinois north, east, and west Edwardsville.

After check-in and hospitality on Thursday evening Oct. 8, the weekend will open with the South by Southeast National Course Rally, Friday, Oct. 9, to be followed by the Great River Road National Touring Rally on Saturday, Oct. 10, and the Route 66 Ramble National Touring Rally on Sunday, Oct. 11.

The South by Southeast Rally is new to both the National Championship schedule and the USRRC, while the Great River Road Tour made its initial appearance on the National schedule as part of the 2001 USRRC. Introduced as part of a double Divisional weekend in 2016, the Route 66 Ramble will help celebrate the centenary of the “Mother Road” by exploring portions of the historic highway between Edwardsville and Litchfield, IL.

Both Touring rallies will be part of the Gateway Challenge Cup.
