The SCCA Board of Directors (BoD) has announced that Dayle Frame will step down from his position as Area 4 Director at the end of 2025 in order to assume the role of Club Racing Board (CRB) Chair on a permanent basis, effective Jan. 1, 2026.
Frame has served as interim CRB Chair since January 2025. In that time, he’s worked closely with Advisory Committees, led discussions on Balance of Performance and data acquisition, and helped shape the direction of the Road Racing program through a period of transition.
“I didn’t expect to enjoy the CRB Chair role as much as I have,” Frame said. “But this year has shown me how important this work is — and how rewarding it can be to support the program from this angle. I’m excited to continue this work full time and help guide Road Racing into the next chapter.”
Frame has represented Area 4 on the Board since 2021 and would have concluded his service at the end of 2026 after serving two terms. His early departure allows him to focus fully on the CRB Chair role while enabling a smooth transition for Area 4 leadership.
Per the SCCA Bylaws, the Board of Directors will appoint a member in good standing from Area 4 to serve out the remainder of Frame’s term. As required by the Bylaws, the appointee must reside in a Region within Area 4 and the vacancy will not remain unfilled for more than 90 days.
“Dayle has approached both of his roles — Area Director and interim CRB Chair — with clarity, care, and commitment,” said SCCA Board of Directors Chair Bob Crawford. “We’re grateful for his continued service and leadership. His deep knowledge of Road Racing and thoughtful approach to the challenges ahead make him the right person to lead the CRB long-term.”
Until the end of the year, Frame will continue to serve the Great Lakes Division as Area 4 Director while also leading the CRB through the remainder of the 2025 season.
