The last four months have been crammed with enough SCCA® goodness to fill anyone’s cup. Championship season kicked off the first week of September with the Tire Rack SCCA ProSolo® Finale followed by the Tire Rack SCCA Solo® National Championships, both held in Nebraska. A few weeks later, the National Championship Runoffs® headed to VIRginia International Raceway for a week and a half of road racing nirvana. The first weekend of October saw the RallyCross National Championship tackle Kansas dirt, the Tire Rack SCCA Time Trials Nationals Powered by Hagerty headed to NCM Motorsports Park in Kentucky in mid-October, and the United States RoadRally Challenge® closed out the month in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. But that wasn’t all, as an enduro at the American Road Race of Champions at Road Atlanta put an exclamation point on November.
Also, Club Spec was launched.
That’s a 30,000-foot view of the last quarter, but on Dec. 13, 2023, at 7 p.m. CT, SCCA President and CEO Mike Cobb will dive in deeper in a President’s Update, offering greater insight into those events and more – and all members are encouraged to watch online.
There’s more to talk about than those events. SCCA’s Learning Management System (LMS) launched, offering a high level of online training that has already jumpstarted many enthusiasts into the world of SCCA volunteering. There’s also the SCCA membership tally to talk about, which started the year strong by cresting 50,000 annual members – but where does that stand right now? Then there are details you need to know about the Jan. 18-26, 2024, virtual (and free) SCCA National Convention, the fact that the coming year marks SCCA’s 80th birthday, and more.
The Dec. 13 President’s Update will take place online and is open to every SCCA member. Preregistration is required, with Cobb’s update expected to take approximately one hour.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
