The 2023 SCCA® National Championship Runoffs® at VIRginia International Raceway was one for the record books – quite literally. For the first time in the event’s 60-year history, this year saw a race be ruled as a tie, with co-Champions named in Spec Miata. It was an unbelievable outcome to a race that began in an equally unbelievable way. And that’s just one of the 23 National Championship races that took place during the Sept. 23-Oct. 1, 2023, SCCA Runoffs. Want another example of Runoffs greatness? In GT-2, NFL player-turned-actor most recently added Runoffs gold medalist to his resume, with his post-race pitlane interview most likely going down as one of the most memorable in Runoffs history. Then there was the incredible Formula Vee race that came down to the wire, a stellar F Production race, and more!

During the Runoffs, a team of professional photographers from Exclusive Sports Car Photography – namely Jay Bonvouloir, Rick Corwine, and Jeff Loewe – captured the action from victory circle to just about all of VIR’s 18 corners. We also had photographers in the pit and paddock, catching workers in action, crews wrenching away, and drivers prepping for the race of their lives.
