2019 Number Registration Open for Majors and Hoosier Super Tour

Reserved Number Registration Opens for U.S. Majors and Hoosier Racing Tire SCCA® Super Tour Season

TOPEKA, Kan. (Nov. 14, 2018) -- Racers intending to compete in the 2019 SCCA U.S. Majors Tour® or Hoosier Racing Tire SCCA® Super Tour can now apply online for Series Registration at MotorsportReg.com.

Those paying the $50 Series Registration fee can reserve a single or two-digit number in a Conference of their choosing.  The same number can also be reserved, if available, in other Conferences for an additional $50 per Conference. Per GCR section 9.3.28.a, the numeral "1" shall be exclusively reserved for current National Champions in each class for National events. A Series Registration fee of $150 allows competitors to register a three-digit number, with the leading digit required to be “1”, for all Conferences.

Racers with a 2018 U.S. Majors Tour series registration will have until November 21 at 9 a.m. Central Time to reserve the same number within a Conference for the coming year.  At that time, unreserved numbers will be released back into the general pool.

Only SCCA Full Competition and SCCA Pro Racing License holders may register for the U.S. Majors Tour or Hoosier Super Tour series.  Registration allows drivers to prepare number graphics for their cars that will be good for the 2019 season.  Registered participants can receive a special U.S. Majors Tour hard card, but only if they have a headshot photo associated with their SCCA member profile. Those who do not have a headshot photo on file can submit a picture via email to the SCCA Membership Department at membership@scca.com. Registrants will also receive series decals for car placement prior to events, as well as a discount coupon on merchandise at www.sccagear.com.

Reserved numbers will be honored until two weeks prior to an event.  In-Conference reserved numbers will be given priority over out-of-conference reserved numbers for event registration.  In the case of a dual-conference event, any duplicate reserved number requests will be resolved by earliest event registration.  The word “reserved” does not mean “permanent.” If class run groups for any event differ from a norm, then number assignments for that event will give preference to the in-conference drivers who register first, then further duplicate requests will be resolved by earliest event registration.  The reserved number program does NOT apply to the SCCA Runoffs.

Both the U.S. Majors Tour and Hoosier Super Tour serve as paths to the 2019 SCCA National Championship Runoffs® being held this year at VIRginia International Raceway in Alton, Virginia. Visit www.scca.com for more information.
