Man, what a week! Things have been busy in the Solo site world! As a result, the Solo team has a few updates to share for the ProSolo Series.

Farewell Oscoda

News broke on Tuesday that Oscoda Airport will no longer be able to accommodate Solo events at their facility. The section of the airport that was used for ProSolo events is being taken over due to expanding airport operations and development. Unfortunately, this does mean that the Oscoda ProSolo, scheduled for August 4-6, will be canceled.

Oscoda has generated a lot of memories over the years, and we are sad to see it go. The National Solo team echoes Saginaw Valley Region’s appreciation of the Airport management for allowing autocross memories to be made on their site for 30 years.

However, on a more hopeful note, drivers may want to keep that weekend penciled in on their calendars. Things are still in the works, but we’re not quite ready to completely throw in the towel for the weekend.

Welcome Back New Jersey!

ProSolo is headed back to MetLife Stadium (now New Meadowlands Sports Complex)! After thinking that we weren’t going to be able to make an event happen in New Jersey this year, plans have shifted and a date has been secured!

Go ahead and block off June 2-4 and join in the fun at the new round 5 of the 2023 ProSolo Series!

Introducing: Brunswick ProSolo

We’ve gone from TBD: Northeast to two events secured in a week! Mark your calendars and get ready to head to Brunswick, Maine on August 11-13 for a Northeast ProSolo on concrete! Taking place on a brand-new site for SCCA just weeks before Solo Nationals, it’s not a difficult stretch of the imagination to think that this might be the place to be that weekend for East Coast autocrossers.

The event will take place on the southern edge of the concrete pad at the Brunswick Naval Aviation Museum and will be round 10 of the Series. While it promises to be a good time, we have been reminded that it will be prime vacation time in Maine, so hotels will be a hot commodity. Go ahead and take care of those reservations while you’re updating your calendar as at this time camping is not available.

With this additional event and the developing details around the Oscoda date, additional information will follow next week regarding the impact on points requirements and registration dates for the ProSolo Finale.
