Did you know that the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) and Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) have an official partnership to develop sports car racing in the United States?

While the relationship may have only been formalized last October, the two organizations have been integral throughout the history of sports car racing in this country. Many drivers can be found at both the “professional” and “amateur” racing events, but many more behind-the-scenes workers — from flagging and communication to safety to race officials — cross over between the two platforms.

And even more than that — SCCA members are also fans of high-quality sports car racing, and nobody does it better than IMSA!

With all of that in mind, we encourage each of you to sign up for the IMSA Insider weekly email newsletter at IMSA.com. With each edition, you’ll get:

“This is the first exhibition of its kind and gives our guests a front row seat to the world of racing,” says Patricia Mooradian, president and CEO of The Henry Ford, in a press release.

Utilizing the museum’s unparalleled collection of historically significant race cars and artifacts, the 24,000 square-foot exhibit takes an in-depth look at “the people, experiences, culture, spectacle, risks and innovations centered in the world of American auto sports.” In addition to the cars on display, “Driven to Win” tells the stories of racing legendsDan Gurney,A.J.
