Who Will Win the Runoffs? Saturday Races

With the Runoffs just around the bend and the bench racing in high gear, lend us a hand when it comes to predicting who will win gold during the Sept. 23-Oct. 1, 2023, SCCA® National Championship Runoffs at VIRginia International Raceway.

Yesterday, we tackled the first day’s worth of races, letting you pick anyone on the entry roster to take home a National Championship jacket – today, we’re doing the same, but with the second day of Runoffs racing, which will take place on Saturday, Sept. 30.

Saturday’s Runoffs schedule kicks off with a stout Touring 1 field, followed by a robust array of E Production competitors. (Breaks out the thesaurus…) Next, a potent Super Touring Lite field will take to VIR’s flowing 3.27-mile circuit before the Hagerty Lunch hour begins. With bellies full of yummy track food, fans will then watch a hearty Spec Racer Ford Gen3 grouping battle it out, followed by tenacious Formula Continental racers, resilient GT-1 drivers, a determined Formula Vee field, and a vigorous set of Touring 3 racers.

Find the complete event schedule here, and come race days, you can watch the action live for free online at SCCA’s Facebook page and YouTube channel, with live timing found here.

In some classes, we have an inkling of who might wind up spraying the Mazza sparkling wine come Hagerty Race Days, but we want you – the internet hive mind – to tell us who you think stands the best shot at earning gold. So…

Who Will Win…
