At A Glance: Hallett Hoosier Super Tour

Storylines/Things to Watch:
Okay, OK – The Hoosier Racing Tire SCCA® Super Tour makes its one-and-only Mid-States Conference stop this year April 8-9 at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit in a joint event with the Southern Conference hosted by the SCCA’s Arkansas Valley Race Group. The thrill is on as Midwest racers are joined by others from around the country to traverse Hallett Motor Racing Circuit’s 1.8-mile, rolling, 10-turn layout running in a counterclockwise direction.

“Sooner” Rather Than Later -- The Hoosier Racing Tire SCCA® Super Tour is rapidly approaching the midway point of its season, which means the clock is ticking for those looking to qualify for the 2017 SCCA® National Championship Runoffs® being held this year at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. And since the Nationwide Points Championship can only be won with Hoosier Super Tour participation combined with a Runoffs result, the pressure will be on this weekend in Oklahoma.

Enhanced Timing & Scoring -- Improvements have been made to SCCA’s Live Timing webpage for Hoosier Super Tour events. Competitors and fans can now select a driver in any session to see their lap times and corresponding lap data, including segment times and speed trap. Click on “Other Sessions” for a menu of all sessions for a weekend, complete with expanded driver data functionality. For ease of viewing, each car only takes one display line, with the additional data for each available by selecting individual drivers. And when individual classes are selected, the purple times and speed are based on the best-in-class, and the gaps are now based on the class leader. Additionally, segment and speed trap order display chronologically for each event. Segments go blank on a new lap after the first segment time is registered to identify where a car is on a given lap. Follow all the action live at www.scca.com/live.

Population Explosion – According to government data, the population of Jennings, Oklahoma, sits just a bit below 400 residents. Counting drivers, workers, family members, friends and support personnel, the Hoosier Racing Tire SCCA® Super Tour will likely double the population in Jennings this weekend. Spectators are welcomed to experience the very best amateur road racing around at only $15 for a weekend pass, and kids under 5 years old get in for FREE!
