It’s the Tire Rack SCCA® Lincoln ProSolo® at the Lincoln Airpark, spring edition! If you need to know why this May 21-23, 2026, event at Lincoln, NE, was significant, check out the event page for this fall’s Tire Rack SCCA ProSolo Finale that takes place at the same site (leading into the Tire Rack SCCA Solo® National Championships).
In short, the long weekend that is lovingly dubbed Spring Nationals and offers a ProSolo and Solo National Tour over the course of four competition days showcases significant insight into who might win come the big events in September.
The highlights from the ProSolo portion of Spring Nationals? A whopping 251 drivers taking times over the Memorial Day weekend on the famed Lincoln concrete – and it was true Lincoln. Rain on Friday morning, wet late morning, drying early afternoon, and dry all day Saturday. And through it all, Nebraska Region (once again) hosted a successful event.
This was truly the full range for a ProSolo and excellent test conditions for those eyeing victory at the ProSolo Finale.
Rain, sun, clouds, whatever…as always, the event was a fantastic success. Let’s look at some of the highlights.
Class Competition
How about jumping right in with the top end of the class lineup? That leads us to Super Street. For all of the conversation about the new addition of the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS to the class, James Yom stayed out in front in his Type 991.2 Porsche 911 GT3. It was by the slimmest of margins, just 0.096sec ahead of Jay Balducci in the Cayman.
Looking for something that retains the fun but cuts back on the horsepower (just a touch)? That brings us to D Street and Zbigniew Szymanski’s Subaru BRZ, which took a 0.281sec win over Brady Loretz and his Toyota GR86. The previous generation of that car kept that same tight competition in Solo Spec Coupe, with Mike Lawson taking a 0.124sec win over Paul Brown.
While we’re on the theme, check out C Street Touring – that’s a 0.044sec win for Daniel McCelvey and a Toyota GR86 over a similar GR86 of DJ Alessandrini.
Matt Morhardt drove his Audi TT to a huge gap in the Street 4 field, but no one should feel too terrible about his 1.859sec win. Morhardt was the index leader of the event, putting an exclamation point on his already commanding win.
In Ladies competitions, Holly Schwedler (Ladies Class 1, Honda Civic), Jordan Towns (Ladies Class 2, Toyota Supra), Kate Fisher (Ladies Class 3, Scion FR-S), and Meredith Brown (Ladies Class 4, Scion FR-S) all grabbed class victories.
There was a lot more that happened, and for that, check out the class results:
Challenge Accepted
At Lincoln, 16 drivers qualified for the Ladies Challenge bracket. Top qualifiers were Kate Fisher and Holly Schwedler – and to no one’s surprise, the duo advanced to the semi-finals. While Fisher advanced with a win over Andie Albin, Carmen Rowlands took down Schwedler to square off with Fisher for victory. Fisher won, taking the Challenge title and becoming one of the favorites come the ProSolo Finale.
Following qualifying for the Super Challenge, just eight drivers advanced to the bracket. Billy Davis, the A Street winner and top qualifier, advanced to the final. His opponent was Manfred Reysser, who finished second in D Street Touring and was just 36th in the initial list of Super Challenge positions. However, Reysser got hot at the right time to advance to the final, leaving him with the Super Challenge victory at Lincoln.
