The Hoosier Racing Tire SCCA® Super Tour (HST) broadcast, produced by DriversEye Live, is free to watch at SCCA’s YouTube page May 15-17, 2026, while drivers rip around the 2.4-mile, 15-turn Club Circuit at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Coverage includes qualifying and races, with commentary provided by longtime SCCA National Championship Runoffs® announcer Greg Creamer and Mid-Ohio’s very own Tom Michaels.
The event, hosted by SCCA’s Ohio Valley Region, is part of the Summit Racing Equipment SCCA Road Racing program and features 25 different car classes spread across eight run groups. That means there will be tons of excitement as drivers strive to reach the victory podium and claim commemorative bottles of Mazza Vineyards sparkling wine.
Below are just a few notable contests to keep an eye on.
Group 1
The Super Touring® Lite (STL) field consists of a dozen drivers, including reigning STL National Champion Mike Taylor. But keeping him honest this weekend will be Max Gee, a man with lots of experience at Mid-Ohio, as well as John Schmitt.
Super Touring® Under is also in the first run group. That field includes some heavy hitters with National Championships to their credit. You’ve got Chip Herr, Ethan Goulart, Tony Ave, Jorge Nazario, and multi-time HST winner David Fiorelli all looking to mix it up on track.
Then there is Touring 3 (T3) with 13 entrants. Reigning T3 National Champion Nic Hammann is at Mid-Ohio and looking to pick up a pair of victories. But drivers such as Scotty B White, Ethan Jacobs, Rob Piekarczyk and Logan Stretch hope to ruin his plans.
Group 2, Group 4 and Group 7
The entry count for Groups 2, 4 and 7 amount to nearly 100 drivers in total. There are more than 35 Spec Racer® Ford Gen3 (SRF3) entrants that are part of the second run group. Another 25 drivers are contesting the Spec MX-5 (SMX) races that make up Group 4 at Mid-Ohio, and Spec Miata (SM) comes in with just short of 40 entries for the seventh run group.
There are too many names to mention that could emerge victorious in any of those races. A few drivers to watch in SRF3 include Bobby Sak, Zach Della, Jase Petty, Peyton Long, Simon Gamble and Tyler Stephens. In SMX, keep an eye on William Wallis, Cam Ebben, Camden Gruber and Michelle Squirek. Then in SM you’ve got Bobby Gossett, Justin Hille, Max Stallone and current HST Nationwide Points Champion Francisco Barroso who are all usually at the front of this very competitive class.
Group 3 and Group 8
If you love open-wheel, open-cockpit cars you won’t want to miss the vehicles in run groups three and eight. The first of those two run groups contains drivers of Formula F (FF), Formula 600 (F6) and Formula Vee® (FV) sleds, who have put up some nice entry numbers for Mid-Ohio.
For instance, FV has a dozen drivers that include Brian Farnham, Andrew Abbott and a couple Whitstons in the hunt. Searching for the top step on the podium in F6 will be Jason Martin, James Weida and Keith Joslyn, plus Calvin Stewart will be a consideration in Sunday’s F6 event.
FF will be a thrill for sure as Robert Dietz dukes it out with the likes of Andrew Moran, Nicholas Sheppard, and maybe even Jonathan Kotyk. It should be fun to watch Saturday during the 25-minute or 16-lap race, as well as Sunday’s 35-minute or 20-lap contest.
Group 8 then has some of the fastest cars at Mid-Ohio this weekend, and that certainly is true of the Formula Atlantic® field with eight entries. Larry Howard, the current HST Nationwide Points Champion for the class, will set the pace. But Nicho Vardis is certainly interested in reeling him in during race sessions.
Group 5 and Group 6
A half-dozen GT-1 cars will populate the fifth run group, with David Pintaric a top contender there, as well as Ryan McManus. Then the GT-2 class has almost 10 cars, with the man to watch being Tony Ave. Ray Mason is quick in GT-2 as well, but you can’t rule out reigning GT-2 National Champion Jorge Nazario.
Then for something completely different, be sure to enjoy the B-Spec battle in the sixth run group. Daniel Conway set a fast lap Saturday morning, but Kent Carter was equally quick. Chris Taylor and Josh Schmidt, the reigning HST Nationwide Points Champ, will likely be in the lead pack on Saturday and Sunday as well.
The F Production (FP) race in Group 6 might be a good one, too. Craig Chima is always fast at Mid-Ohio. However, reigning HST Nationwide Points Champion Mason Workman is just as fast, as are David Bednarz and Kevin Ruck.
