RRCC Announces Online Town Hall Meetings for Road Racing Advisory Committees

The Road Racing Competition Committee (RRCC), formerly known as the Club Racing Board (CRB), has announced it will add virtual town hall sessions to each SCCA Road Racing Advisory Committee’s meeting schedule. The new format aims to give SCCA Road Racing participants an opportunity to directly engage with Advisory Committee members and discuss topics relevant to the future of their respective racing categories.

“Throughout the month of May, four separate Advisory Committee town halls will be held online, each catering to a different racing category,” explains Dayle Frame, chair of the RRCC. “The town halls that are already scheduled for May include the American Sedan, B-Spec, and Touring categories, with additional town halls to be announced at a later date. Each town hall will be scheduled for roughly 60 minutes, providing ample time for committee members to share insights and for participants to ask questions.”

The May online Advisory Committee town hall dates are:

  • May 12, 2026 at 7 p.m. CT: B-Spec
  • May 13, 2026 at 7 p.m. CT: American Sedan
  • May 18, 2026 at 7 p.m. CT: Touring

The virtual Advisory Committee town hall meetings will begin with an opening statement, which will set the tone for the discussion. Following the opening statement, the Advisory Committee will present an update on the state of the committee and category. This section will provide participants with insights into the current standing and direction of their racing category. This segment is intended to ensure that participants are up to date on any ongoing matters within their specific category, helping them better understand the context for upcoming decisions or rule changes.

The remaining time in each town hall will be dedicated to an open question-and-answer session. This portion allows participants to voice questions or present ideas directly to the Advisory Committee members. It's designed to foster a collaborative environment where feedback and discussion can occur in real-time, giving racers a direct line of communication to those shaping the rules and regulations of their sport.

“The move to add town hall meetings reflects the RRCC’s commitment to promoting an open dialogue between the Advisory Committees and the SCCA Road Racing community,” Frame says. “It also aligns with increased transparency and engagement as a way to foster a responsive racing environment.”

In the coming months, the RRCC will expand this town hall initiative to other racing categories, offering participants across all disciplines the chance to engage in these valuable discussions. The committee encourages all interested individuals to attend the town hall meetings relevant to their racing category to stay informed and take part in shaping the future of the SCCA Road Racing program.
