Annual Showdown at Hallett in Oklahoma Next for Hoosier Super Tour

Venues selected as Hoosier Racing Tire SCCA® Super Tour (HST) sites are picked based on certain attributes. Some are top “pro” tracks offering the best quality racing surface and amenities. Others are selected because they are the best “club” courses in the country, where challenging layouts are matched with warm hospitality and a family feel to the paddock.

Hallett Motor Racing Circuit (HMRC) in Jennings, OK, thrives in that second category. Located about 40 minutes west of Tulsa, it has become a bucket-list destination thanks to a solid reputation built over years. It also happens to be HST’s next stop for an April 25-26, 2026, weekend put on by Ark Valley Race Group as part of the Summit Racing Equipment SCCA Road Racing program.

Registration is open now for both drivers and volunteers. Be sure to sign up today and prepare for another fantastic weekend around Hallett’s cozy but challenging 1.8-mile, 10-turn circuit. While you’re at it, be sure to check your Hawk brakes, Öhlins suspension, and Hagerty insurance before heading to the Osage Hills for a great weekend. As for Sunoco race fuel, you can find that at the track.

Hallett Hoofers

SCCA National Champions Hans Peter and Charlie Peter almost never miss an HST weekend at Hallett. Sure enough, the father-son duo are on the entry list once again this year. Father Hans, the current Formula Atlantic® National Championship Runoffs® winner, will be in the No. 66 Swift 16 machine. His son, Peter, is the reigning Touring 2 Champion driving the No. 166 Phenix Porsche 991.2 Cup car.

Mike Taylor, the current Super Touring® Lite (STL) National Champion, will also be competing at Hallett in the No. 39 JustTrackIt/E3 Storage/MS3 Pro AMP EFI Acura Integra. Reigning E Production (EP) Runoffs winner Tyler Ladd, in the No. 151 Hoosier/Carbotech/JPM BMW Z3 car, will be there too.

Ladd, who is also the defending EP Hoosier Super Tour Nationwide Points Champion, gets his HST season underway at Hallett. He knocked the rust off a few weeks back during a U.S. Majors Tour® weekend at Eagles Canyon in Texas. Now, he’s excited to start work towards a third-straight EP Runoffs triumph – and, if the fates allow it, a second Super Sweep title to match the one he earned during the 2024 Summit Racing Equipment SCCA Road Racing season.

“I’m happy to get my Hoosier Super Tour season rolling and chase the Runoffs Championship again,” Ladd said. “I like to call Hallet a little bullring. It’s not like other tracks out there where you get time to breathe. It makes it fun and keeps you on your toes.”

Speaking of firsts, two others looking to defend HST Nationwide Points Championships will make their maiden visit to Hallet during the upcoming two-day weekend. One of those is B-Spec’s Josh Schmidt in the No. 62 Babyface Fabrication Mazda 2.

“I’m excited to go to Hallett, and I hope I do well,” said Schmidt, a former oval racer. “This year I want to win the Super Sweep, and that’s my goal.”

The other defending Champion making a first-ever run at Hallett is Nick Leverone. He has been at every HST event this year, sometimes in the Spec Miata field and other times Super Touring Lite where he is the reigning Nationwide Points Champion.

“I’m excited to go,” Leverone said. “I feel like Hoosier Super Tour racing has been really good this year across the board. For the most part, the races have been really good.”
