The 2025 SCCA® National Championship Runoffs® Presented by Sunoco was no less than epic. The 62nd running of the event brought heavy hitters to battle on Road America’s 14-turn, 4.048-mile historic circuit, with the on-track battles for the gold becoming ones for the ages. Take, for instance, the Super Touring® Under race, which pitted multi-time SCCA Pro Racing® champ Peter Cunningham against the likes of pro racer and Runoffs champ Chip Herr. Did you miss that one? Or how about the Spec Miata battle that came down to the wire – 0.030sec decided the victor. Good news, because all 23 Runoffs races that took place during the Oct. 4-5, 2025, Hagerty Race Days are now available for streaming for free on SCCA’s YouTube channel.
The Runoffs took the first green flag strong, with a B-Spec race few could forget. Without giving away any spoilers, let’s just say that this National Championship title was won in spectacular fashion, with battles that could have gone either way.
Race number two was E Production, and it the intensity was just as hot – a theme that kept going through all of the races, including Spec Racer® Ford, Formula F, Spec MX-5, Super Touring Lite, and more.
As for H Production, that action got hotter than one racer probably would have liked. Give that coverage a gander and then say that SCCA members don’t push their cars to the limit – and beyond – in pursuit of a Runoffs medal.
