The 2026 Hoosier Racing Tire SCCA® Super Tour, part of the Summit Racing Equipment SCCA Road Racing Program that is a direct path to the National Championship Runoffs®, has been announced, with several notable additions that will excite many racers.
“The 2026 season is not business as usual,” said Sydney Davis Yagel, SCCA’s Manager of Road Racing Special Projects. “From classes being welcomed back to a fantastic new racetrack entering the fray, the coming season is one we can’t wait for.”
As recently announced, Formula F, Formula Vee®, and Formula 600 will return to Hoosier Super Tour competition in 2026, but that’s not the only excitement racers will experience during the 2026 Hoosier Super Tour.
Buttonwillow Raceway Park is back on the schedule, this time kicking off the Hoosier Super Tour season on Feb. 21-22, 2026, on the facility’s barely one-year-old racetrack, the Circuit. This 2.56-mile, 10-turn track opened just prior to the 2025 Hoosier Super Tour and has already become a favorite of drivers.
As you would expect, the Chicago Region June Sprints® is back, bringing racers to Road America for a preview of what’s to come at the Runoffs. This year, though, the June Sprints returns to a double race format, once again welcoming all Super Tour classes to the party.
For the first time, the Hoosier Super Tour will visit Barber Motorsports Park, located just outside of Birmingham, AL. “This two-day event in August will be an exciting one, as Barber is a top-notch facility delivering on-track challenges unlike any others,” said Yagel. “From a sparkling facility to a must-see museum, visiting Barber Motorsports Park will be an absolute treat for all racers.”
Barber Motorsports Park’s 2.38-mile, 16-turn track has recently hosted pro series including IndyCar, SRO GT World Challenge America, and SCCA Pro Racing-sanctioned series like the Trans Am Series, Formula 4 U.S. Championship, and Formula Regional Americas Championship.
There are two other notable changes to the schedule. For the first time, the Hoosier Super Tour will not travel to Sebring International Raceway in Florida. “Central Florida Region has elected not to host a Hoosier Super Tour in 2026,” Yagel stated. “This year’s event will be part of the Southeast Conference schedule as a Conference Majors event.”
Also, due to a variety of motorsports scheduling conflicts within Texas and Louisiana, a Hoosier Super Tour date at NOLA Motorsports Park could not be secured for 2026. “The Southwest Division hopes to return to NOLA again in the future,” Yagel added.
Many of the other circuits on the nine-race Hoosier Super Tour schedule will look familiar, offering racers track time from coast to coast, spanning February through August.
“From introducing Hoosier Super Tour racers to Barber, to visiting classic ‘club’ tracks like Hallett Motor Racing Circuit and Buttonwillow, to putting drivers on iconic circuits like Watkins Glen, Mid-Ohio, Road America, and Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, plus having competition on world-renowned tracks like VIR and Portland, the Hoosier Super Tour offers a bit of everything for drivers looking to race at the best tracks against the finest amateur racers in America,” Yagel said.

Weekends also include segmented timing and scoring, a service unavailable at most amateur motorsport events.
Dedicated staffing with a series Race Director, Clerk of the Course, timing team, administrator, and technical inspector working in conjunction with local event personnel is an additional feature of the Hoosier Super Tour. SCCA public relations staff provide weekend race coverage and post-race winner videos. Hoosier Super Tour dates also have enhanced weekend social activities for volunteers, drivers, crew, and family, where applicable.
The Hoosier Super Tour serves as the Summit Racing Equipment SCCA Road Racing’s nationwide point championship. The point structure remains the same as previous years with the best six Hoosier Super Tour races, plus a Runoffs finish, contributing toward points championship scoring. Point totals for the Hoosier Super Tour are maintained by SCCA national office staff and can be viewed at SCCA.com.
Only SCCA Full Competition License holders may register to compete at Hoosier Super Tour events. The Hoosier Super Tour also serves as a qualifying path to the SCCA National Championship Runoffs, taking place later in the year.
