While most know the Sports Car Club of America® as a road racing or autocross organization, the Club was built on RoadRally. From the earliest of days, RoadRally became the backbone of the organization, with many competitors road racing one weekend and running rallies the next. The robust program drew much attention, with RoadRallies aplenty capturing the imagination. Yet while drivers might not compete in a RoadRally in their road racing car anymore, many SCCA members still do crossover to other disciplines like they used to – and with a National and Divisional RoadRally calendar like the one in the coming months, it’s not hard to do.
From mid-July through mid-September, there are no fewer than 10 National and Divisional RoadRallies on the calendar, with those taking place between Colorado and Michigan, meaning no matter where you’re located in the U.S., chances are you’re not far from one of these exceptional upcoming rallies.
What is a RoadRally? It’s a competition, held on public roads in a street vehicle. A driver and navigator then use a series of instructions to steer their way through the competition, with Course and Tour RoadRallies offering differing challenges along the way.

July RoadRally fun begins in Colorado with the Lobster Traps National Course rally and Colorado Front Range National Tour rally, both hosted by Colorado Region. August brings drivers to the St. Louis area with St. Louis Region ending that month strong with four RoadRallies (two Tours, a Course, and a GTA). September then features two National Course rallies hosted by Detroit Region (the famed Press On Regardless RoadRallies), with Milwaukee Region’s offerings being the Oktoberally and Badger Coulees, one a National Course and the other a National Tour.
