You Vote: Who Will Win the Solo Nats? Street Category

This is the big one, my friends. Roughly 1,300 drivers are poised to face off in 70-some classes during the Sept. 5-8, 2023, Tire Rack SCCA® Solo National Championships in Lincoln Nebraska. But this is no ordinary year. This year marks both the 50th running and 50th anniversary of this championship autocross event. It all began in 1973 at Mid-America Raceway in Wentzville, MO, over the Oct. 20-21 weekend. Hosted by St. Louis Region and sponsored by British Leyland – yes, that British Leyland – 224 autocrossers converged to find out who was the best of the best. And with the exception of 2020 (when the pandemic put a temporary halt on the event), the Solo National Championships has been held every year.

That’s fun history – but what we want to know right now is who’s going to win this year. The answer? We don’t know, and neither do you, but that’s not going to stop any of us from placing bets.

As this week leads into the 50th Solo National Championships, we’ll be presenting you with polls where you can vote on who you think stands the best chance of taking a championship jacket at this year’s Solo Nats. Don’t see your name on the list? Oops – sorry! With a sold-out event and some classes sporting fields in excess of 70 entries, we did our best, but we undoubtedly missed several obvious picks. If you’d like to launch a formal complaint, that can be done by heading to any and all social media platforms and roasting us for our obvious lack of knowledge.

But before you do that, scroll down and vote for who you think will win each class. First up this week: the Street category.
