Hagerty and SCCA Extend Partnership for Three More Years

Hagerty will continue its role as the “Official Insurance Provider of the SCCA” for an additional three years, keeping the company built by people who love cars with the 65,000-member Club filled with people who have fun with cars in a partnership built on growing the market together.

The backgrounds of Hagerty and the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) contain symmetry. Though born in Traverse City, MI, as a niche insurance agency, Hagerty has grown into an automotive enthusiast brand offering integrated membership products and programs while continuing its business as a specialty insurance provider. Likewise, the SCCA began as a small group of enthusiasts and grew into a world-renowned Club that produces top-flight amateur road racing programs, track days, autocrosses and beyond, and provides expertise and experience to professional motorsports events including IMSA, IndyCar, Formula 1, Formula E and more.

“Partnerships with the folks at Hagerty are, to me, a continuation of who we are here at SCCA,” Michael Cobb, SCCA President and CEO, said. “The team at Hagerty is one of us – car enthusiasts who want to introduce our world to as many people as possible. The relationship with Hagerty continues to grow, and we’re proud of the opportunities Hagerty brings to all of our members through each of its brands and products.”

In addition to a discount on Hagerty insurance for SCCA members, Hagerty will remain involved in some of the most enthusiastic programs in the SCCA. In addition to visibility at the Tire Rack SCCA Solo National Championships, the championship-crowning days at the SCCA National Championship Runoffs will continue to be known as Hagerty Race Days, and SCCA’s top-level Time Trials program will continue to be known as the Tire Rack SCCA Time Trials National Tour Powered by Hagerty.

Hagerty Drivers Club members will receive discounts on SCCA activities and opportunities to get on track. Hagerty Drivers Club members will receive a $25 discount on Track Night in America, Time Trials National Tour, and Starting Line programs offered by SCCA.

Events conducted by the SCCA National Staff will continue to utilize MotorsportReg.com, a part of the Hagerty family of brands, for event registration.

“Our team is all for creating on-ramps to automotive enthusiasm. This means encouraging folks to get out there and test their cars, and themselves, during on-track experiences,” said McKeel Hagerty, CEO of Hagerty. “The past four years of partnership with SCCA has brought a lot of people deeper into the motorsports world, and we know that trend will continue. It’s all about the rush and personal growth that on-track driving and competition provides.”

The continuation of the relationship – which began officially in 2019 – will run through the 2024 race season.
