TOPEKA, Kan. (Oct. 20, 2017) – Nominations are currently being accepted for the 2017 Nexen Tire Solo Rookie of the Year.  Submissions must be made by end of day on Monday, Nov. 20.  Nominations should be submitted at SEBSCCA.com.  When filling out the form, please select “Solo Events Board” from the “Send Letter To:” tab.  Then in the “Category” section, select “Event Operations.”  Also, be sure to title the message “2017 Solo Rookie of the Year Award.”

The Nexen Tire Solo Rookie of the Year recognizes an outstanding performance at a first Solo® National Championship by a driver with limited competition experience. The winner is selected by the Solo® Events Board from nominations submitted by the membership at large.

Previous Nexen Tire Solo Rookie of the Year award winners include: Darren Seltzer, Bryan Heitkotter, GJ Dixon, Mike Maier and Mark Daddio.

The Nexen Tire Rookie of the Year will be announced during the annual SCCA Hall of Fame and Awards Banquet that takes place during the 2018 SCCA National Convention January 18-20 at the South Point Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Again, Nexen Tire Solo Rookie of the Year nominations must be submitted by Monday, Nov. 20 to SEBSCCA.com.
