We decided to give Autocross a try.
We drove to Thunderhill Raceway Park, paid a small fee, borrowed a couple helmets and then got my Abarth out on the track.
For those of you who don’t know, Autocross is done on a small course, lined with road cones, in an area similar to a parking lot.
Fairly inexpensive (but it can get expensive real quick), low risk (road cones don’t total your car), low speed (my car got up to 57 MPH) racing that you don’t need a racecar to participate. It really is GREAT FUN!
