I discovered the Pan Am Region of the SCCA and sports car racing in 1969 when I returned from two years as a MAC-V Advisor in Vietnam.  I still have my 1967 Datsun 2000 SRL311 Roadster.  I also discovered the dirt track around that time.  I sometimes claim to be an "international" race car driver because we ran on the dirt in El Paso on Friday nights, then in New Mexico on Saturday nights, and then in Juarez, Mexico on Sunday afternoons.  Thanks to Uncle Sam, I even got in some dirt racing in Europe in the '70's.  

I have owned and raced a Datsun 2000 Roadster, a Datsun 240Z, an SFR, a Dillon Chassis, GT-1, C-4 Corvette, and most recently, a Star Mazda Prototype 1.  

After 37 years of "Crew Chief" action, my wife Patsy has decided she wants in on the driving action...so, we're building her a Spec Miata.
