It’s the final two days of the “Who Will Win the Tire Rack SCCA Solo National Championships?” polls, and we’ve saved some of the most exciting groupings for last (previous polls from this year can be found here). Tomorrow we’re going to look at the Developmental Classes of XU and XUL, alongside the Exhibition Classes of EVX, EVXL, FSAE, and FSAEL. Today is quite the opposite. While tomorrow’s classes will not be competing for a National Championship, the classes in today’s polls will be battling for a National Championship jacket for the very first time.

To say the least, it’s been a long time coming for Classic American Muscle. CAM-S, CAM-T, and CAM-C have brought the noise for more than a decade, boasting some of the largest fields not just at the Solo Nationals, but also National and Regional events throughout the season. With a “dream it, built it” attitude, the CAM classes have seen some of the most diversely modified vehicles hit the autocross course. From modern muscle to a Model T, CAM sees it all – and this year, the category showcases drivers hunting for a National Championship jacket for the first time.

Xtreme Street A and B are two classes that have virtually wide-open rulesets and have seen quite the rapid growth. Cars in this category range from as old as a 1950s Alfa Romeo and a 1970s Mazda to 2020s Subarus and Toyotas, plus Porsches, Fieros, BMWs, and more. This category is a melting pot of cars and mods, and we love it! And we love it even more that Xtreme Street gets to name National Champions this year.

On the flip side of that coin is Club Spec. Club Spec Mustang (CSM) and Club Spec MX-5 (CSX) are comparative fledgling classes that have an approved list of limited modifications. Club Spec was announced in 2023, taking to the autocross course in 2024. Now, those drivers will be battling for the chance to call themselves a National Champion.

But who will win in any of these classes come the Sept. 7-11, 2026, National Championship event in Lincoln, NE? We don’t know, but we suspect you have thoughts on the matter.
