The Tire Rack SCCA Time Attack Challenge at Ridge Motorsports Park went exactly as expected during the Aug. 22-23, 2026, weekend. How did it go? Absolutely amazing, that’s how. 

The spectacular weekend was partially because of the competition laid down by the 55 drivers participating in the Time Attack Challenge event, and partially from the combo event that also featured Global Time Attack, Lone Star Drift, Oregon Region SCCA Road Racing, and fans who came out to the facility in western Washington. 

The weather was perfect, which is not unexpected for a summer day in the Pacific Northwest. But doubling that with the Time Attack Challenge vibe being fun and light, with road racers and drifters intermingled with the Time Attack crowd to compare notes and get to know a side of the sport that might not always cross over, and this weekend was a standout.

Top Times

The event saw an incredible 10 new track records, with all 10 also being class winners. Let’s take a peek at those drivers who set new benchmarks in their classes:

Class Results

Superlative Awards

McCelvey, Farm, and Avellina were awarded the Fastest AWD, RWD, and FWD trophies, respectively, yet those weren’t the only awards dished out.

The McCelveys (Daniel and Laurie) are more closely associated (at least for now) with the SCCA Solo® program. Both ended up on their respective podiums (Laurie was second in Tuner 3), and as such were jointly awarded the Crossover Award at the Ridge.

Sean Fogli earned special attention for embodying the Spirit of Time Trials. The Time Attack Challenge at the Ridge was his first ever SCCA event (of any kind!) and he showed all-around enthusiasm to be part of the program. He was recognized for helping others, plus the positive vibes he brought all weekend.

Cynthia Clark showed up to the Ridge for her first Time Attack – and first time on track. She took coaching from anyone willing to offer it and smiled her way through any tough times. She found an incredible 15 seconds from the opening practice through her last session and, as such, was awarded the Top Novice award.

Eric Stoltz attended his first SCCA Time Attack event early in the year at Thunderhill, and declared he had so much fun that he’d be attending the event at the Ridge later in the year. In the time between those events, he spread the gospel of SCCA Time Attack to anyone who would listen, with his effort bringing others to the Ridge to compete. For that, Stoltz was named the Time Trials Champion of the event.

Soon will be the first time anyone will be named an SCCA Time Attack National Champion.

The Tire Rack SCCA Time Attack National Championship will take place at Eagles Canyon Raceway in Decatur, TX, on Oct. 23-25. Can you make it? We don’t know. But SHOULD you make it? The answer is absolutely YES.
