Ah, Street Modified, everyone’s favorite category at the Tire Rack SCCA® Solo® National Championships, and during this year’s Sept. 7-11 title bout in Lincoln, NE, it’s showing why.

Wait, is the “everyone’s favorite category” schtick played out since I used it on the last two of the “Who Will Win?” polls (which you can find here and here)? Whatever! Let’s go for the trifecta because Street Modified truly is made up of amazing classes, with talented drivers wheeling them to utter perfection.

Unlike some other categories, Street Mod is a pretty streamlined competition category. Made up of Street Modified FWD, Street Modified, and Super Street Modified, while this category isn’t overflowing with classes, it does pack a punch – especially in SMF, where you’ll find awesome old-school Hondas battling newer Minis, Focuses, and even a Saturn Ion Redline.

Who has what it takes to win? We don’t know, but maybe you do.
