It was Crows, take 2 – this time for a Tire Rack SCCA® Solo® National Tour just one week after the ProSolo at the same fantastic location.
San Francisco Region did a spectacular job once again as hosts of the June 12-14, 2026, event led by Ben Martinez as the event chair. Ken Suzuki designed the courses in the open Crows space with a unique twist – Saturday’s course featured technical elements, which flipped direction on Sunday to present a flowing, spirited course.
Also, it was hot.
Inland Central California is no joke, and temperatures surpassed 100 degrees F each day on the concrete. Still, the 197 entries persevered with plenty of hydration before, during, and after their runs.
Those nearly 200 competitors were not all seasoned veterans, either. Twelve took advantage of the Driver’s Edge Powered by SCCA Starting Line to help their transition from Regional events to Solo National Tour competition. Shelly Monfort provided the “registration to runs” coaching, which helped ease the jump and make things less intimidating.
The Driver’s Edge program is available at nearly all Solo National Tour and ProSolo events.
Class Competition
The close competition in the weekend began with C Street Touring. Daniel McCelvey led the way in a Toyota GR86, with Garrett Cogburn’s Honda S2000 just 0.049sec behind. Taylour Wargo co-drove with McCelvey to third, followed by Jonathan Lugod in a Subaru BRZ.
McCelvey was the onsite course advisory panel member at Crows Landing, helping ensure a balanced course is offered. Based on the results of the C Street Touring class, job well done! McCelvey and Cogburn were the top two in the Overall Index for the event.
Reed Gibson flipped Club Spec MX-5 on its head, dominating the 12-car Spec Class. Gibson jumped out to a huge opening day lead, and despite being only third quickest on Sunday, he still earned a 1.333sec margin of victory for his class win.
Xtreme Street A was decided by less than a tenth. Christopher Bartley’s Mitsubishi led the way with a quick Sunday time, coming back on day-one leader Steve Lau’s Porsche Cayman to win by 0.060sec.
Kendra Mabie led the way amongst her fellow Ladies Class competitors, taking the top spot in Ladies Street Tire Bump. Her Honda Civic Type R was an impressive 4.4sec ahead of her nearest class competitor, and tops overall in the Ladies Index.
