Every year, the SCCA® Solo® community comes together to celebrate the people who make the sport stronger. From the paddock to the support trailer, from local events to National competition, there are individuals who embody the spirit of camaraderie, excellence, and service that defines the autocross community. Now is your opportunity to recognize those who inspire others and help make SCCA Solo a welcoming and rewarding experience for everyone.
From now through July 1, 2026, the SCCA and the Solo Events Board (SEB) are accepting nominations for three of Solo’s most distinguished honors: the Heart of Solo, the Solo Driver of Eminence, and the Solo Cup.
The Heart of Solo award is presented to an individual whose impact on their class, Region, and the broader Solo community has been truly profound. These are the people who create an environment where everyone feels welcome and supported while exemplifying SCCA’s core values of excellence, service, passion, team, experience, and stewardship.
This award has been presented only twice before, with those recipients being Brad Smith in 2025 and Chris Pruett in 2024.
The Solo Driver of Eminence award recognizes a competitor who has consistently demonstrated exceptional talent behind the wheel while also displaying outstanding sportsmanship, dedication, and selflessness. Ultimately, this award honors those who compete at the highest level while uplifting those around them.
This award has been presented annually since 1984, with the most recent recipients being Billy Davis (2025), Mark Scroggs (2024), and Ron Bauer (2023).
The Solo Cup is presented to the SCCA member who has made an outstanding contribution to the Solo Events Program.
This award has been presented annually since 1978, with the most recent recipients being Jeff Cox (2025), Rick Ruth (2024), and Dave “Bugeye” Williams (2023).
