RoadRally waits for no one. That statement is true for so many reasons. It’s also the reason why you’ll want to register for these upcoming Divisional and National RoadRallies that are located in areas that will ratchet up the fun factor due to potential weather conditions.

The action begins on Jan. 10 in South Lyon, MI, where Detroit Region will host to aptly named Son of Sno*Drift XXVIII Divisional Tour Rally. This is a straightforward Time-Speed-Distance (TSD) rally, meaning no traps. Spanning 175 miles of mostly unpaved roads, this RoadRally is guaranteed to thrill. It’s also guaranteed to be accessible to all, as it will utilize the popular Richta app for the GPS passage controls.
Not that this is going to be a wild one, but the rallymaster recommends bringing winter tires, driving lights, and – yes – snow extraction equipment.

The adventure continues two weeks later on Jan. 24 when Land O’Lakes Region hosts the Yucatan Safari National Tour Rally in Rochester, MN. This TSD rally is a day and night RoadRally on fun gravel roads winding from Rochester through Fillmore and Houston counties, concluding in Winona.
The following day, Jan. 25, brings the next Land O’Lakes RoadRally, the Grumpy Old Men National Course Rally. This rally takes to the starting line in Rochester, MN, runs through Fillmore county, then returns to Rochester some six hours later.
One entry fee covers both Yucatan Safari and Grumpy Old Men. Check out the event registration page on MotorsportReg.com.
One month later, on Feb. 21, Detroit Region is back at it with the Michigan Winter Rally III Divisional Tour Rally. Headquartered in Clare, MI, this TSD RoadRally spans more than 200 miles of mostly unpaved roads in Clare, Osceola, and Lake counties, and like with the Region’s Jan. 10 event, Michigan Winter Rally III will also utilize the Richta app.
