The Hoosier Racing Tire SCCA® Super Tour, part of the Summit Racing Equipment SCCA Road Racing Program, visited 10 challenging venues in 2025 and featured the country’s best amateur road racers and incredibly prepared race cars.
It was a fun and exciting series once again, made even more thrilling thanks to a season-long Super Tour Nationwide Points Championship chase. Tallied up were a driver’s six best Hoosier Super Tour races, plus their SCCA National Championship Runoffs® Presented by Sunoco result. Competitors earned 25 points per race victory, with second place laying claim to 21 points. Third earned 18 points, and so on through 20th place, who earned a solitary point.
The drivers exhibited a tremendous amount of commitment and skill all year. The reward for such talent? A Super Tour Nationwide Points Championship title.
Tight Competition Meant Every Point Mattered
Drivers could amass as many as 175 points during the season. So the fact that many Super Tour Nationwide Points Championships were decided by less than 10 points stands as testament to the quality of competition.
The closest finish was in Spec Racer® Ford Gen3 (SRF3), the largest class of the year with more than 200 entrants. Caleb Shrader, who won the SRF3 Runoffs race this year, ultimately also claimed the Super Tour Nationwide Points Championship by a single point over Brian Schofield, who finished second at Road America by only 0.012sec during the National Championship race. Three slim points behind the runner-up was Tyler Stephens, who finished third in the Nationwide Points Championship and third at the Runoffs.
Two points decided the Super Touring® Lite (STL) Nationwide Points Championship, with Nick Leverone coming out ahead of runner-up Jon Sewell, while STL Runoffs winner Mike Taylor was third only two points further back. Super Touring® Under was nearly as close as Richard Astacio earned that Nationwide Points Championship by only four points over David Fiorelli. Four points also separated GT-2 Nationwide Points Champion Jared Odrick from competitor Austin Jurs, and third-place finisher Ray Mason was another four points in arrears.
The Nationwide Points Championship was decided by five points in three different classes. That included B-Spec, where Josh Schmidt came out ahead of B-Spec Runoffs winner Eric Yagel. Then in E Production, Tyler Ladd took the Nationwide Points Championship by five points over Mark Weber. Five points was also the spread in Touring 4, with Ethan Barker taking the trophy over Marc Cefalo.
A half-dozen points gave Scotty B. White the title in Touring 3, with Nic Hammann coming home second. White also amassed the most points in Touring 2, making him the only competitor in 2025 to earn two Super Tour Nationwide Points Championships.

Super Sweep Honors
Established in 2009, SCCA’s Road Racing Super Sweep is one of the most challenging accomplishments a Club racer can achieve. To merit the award in 2025, drivers must have won a Hoosier Racing Tire SCCA Super Tour race, a Super Tour Nationwide Points Championship, a U.S. Majors Tour® Conference Championship, and a National Championship Runoffs race – all within a single class.
Now that Runoffs winners are known, U.S. Majors Tour Conference Champions have been revealed, and the Super Tour Nationwide Points Champions are listed above, it’s time to laud the three 2025 Super Sweep victors – all of which are first-time winners of the significant honor.
Jeff Dernehl, of SCCA’s Atlanta Region, won the GT3U contest at Road America during the National Championship Runoffs. He got Hoosier Racing Tire SCCA Super Tour victories at Sebring International Raceway, Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta and NOLA Motorsports Park during the year. Then he claimed the GT3U title within the U.S. Majors Tour Southeast Conference.
Gregory Eaton, of SCCA’s Washington DC Region, claimed victory in American Sedan for a fourth time this year during the National Championship Runoffs. On top of that, he won seven Hoosier Super Tour races during the regular season. That work also netted him the U.S. Majors Tour Northeast Conference Championship for the class.
Ethan Lampe, of SCCA’s San Francisco Region, took his second consecutive Runoffs victory in Spec MX-5 (SMX) this year. Seven victories were credited to him during the Hoosier Super Tour season, and he won SMX titles in both the Southern Conference and Northeast Conference of the U.S. Majors Tour.
Sincere congratulations to all Champions who took part in this year’s Summit Racing Equipment SCCA Road Racing Program.
Now, it’s time to plan for 2026.
