For many, summer indicates that it’s time to get serious as they make the final approach and prepare the cabin for landing at the Tire Rack SCCA Solo National Championships and the Tire Rack SCCA ProSolo Finale at Lincoln Airpark in Nebraska. For others, summer is a signal to check the schedule, pull the car out of the garage, and get some runs in while the weather’s nice.

Let’s lump these two events together – because these two events ARE together! The first weekend of June is a full blast of autocross in Maine, with two days of a ProSolo followed by two days of a Solo National Tour. Those who were in Lincoln for this year’s Spring Nationals understand the fun, the stress, and the reward of trying to do two events in one weekend – and all of those highs and lows keep us coming back.
Will anyone dare to combine Lincoln and Brunswick and get four events in in two weeks? That’s the hard-core autocross challenge of the season.

It’s autocross, four wide! Actually, no it’s not. That’s how they do their drag racing down there. But the same site hosts the Charlotte Solo National Tour, a popular site each season. Those in attendance know the event is going to feature strong competition and the high probability of baking sunshine, so grab the sunscreen and that new set of tires and hit the road for some intense competition.
