You may think an SCCA membership is only worth it if you participate in events, and it is your ticket to that and more. But did you know that, even if you didn’t enter a single race, autocross or Time Trial all year long, you could save money by being a member? Here are some deals you may have missed:
1. E-Z Up Tents and Accessories
Not just at the track, but backyard parties and tailgates need shade, too. Those who have tried to save a few bucks on an off-brand tent know it’s a guarantee that you’ll need to buy two or three times as many. Luckily, SCCA members can get a 25% discount when ordering direct from E-Z Up, and 30% when ordering two or more shelters in one go.
2. Discount Hotel Rates
SCCA Member Jim Trueman famously started Red Roof Inns (have you ever noticed all the buildings at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course have red roofs? 3. The always bad ass Racechick
Racechick supports SCCA’s Women In Motorsports initiative. It’s also a brand that represents bad-ass women drivers and motorsports enthusiasts, in styles and colors on items ranging from firesuits to t-shirts. A woman-owned business, SCCA members receive $20 off a purchase of $100 or more.
4. Learn to Weld!
So SCCA doesn’t have any discounts on welding lessons, but the best way to learn to do anything is to get the equipment and get to work, right? Lincoln Welders offers huge discounts on used display products, perfect for the garage or shop.
5. Get high tech with data collection
Data collection is important. Race Keeper’s camera and data system, specifically on the Road Keeper HD, is invaluable to any track activity. Keeping track of that data has recently gotten easier with the new Track Facts app – a data logging system that can be kept and exported right from your phone, right on site. As you probably guessed, SCCA members get discounts on both products.
