ProSolo SuperPass Back for 2021

The ProSolo SuperPass concept had a rough “go” in its inaugural season thanks to COVID-19 event cancellations. The Sports Car Club of America Solo Department, has been hard at work to remedy concerns, develop a plan for refunds, and relaunch the ProSolo SuperPass anew in 2021.

First, some housekeeping

For those who purchased a 2020 SuperPass and did not make use of any benefits, a full refund is available. To receive that refund, complete the Refund/Credit form here.

The Department is mindful that the goal of the SuperPass in any year is to ensure a pathway to the Finale, and as there was not one in 2020, even those who did receive some of the value of their pass did not receive it all. As such, those competitors who did utilize some SuperPass perks in 2020 can receive a $25 discount on a SuperPass purchase for the coming season — making it roughly half the cost of the 2020 edition. Those competitors should also fill out the form to have a credit applied to their MotorsportReg account.

“The ProSolo Season, and thus the SuperPass program didn’t launch like we all hoped. Our response has been slowed by the overall complexity of our Covid-19 reality and budgeting decisions that have crossed into a new year. We do apologize for the slow response to customer concerns around refunds,” said Heyward Wagner, SCCA Interim Director of Solo. “SuperPass sales early in 2020 were not a ‘profit’ stream for our non-profit organization, they were an integral part of funding upgrades to ProSolo timing equipment that will benefit the program for years to come. We greatly appreciate those who supported the Club and program in a challenging year, but also know we must ‘do right’ by our members. Thus, we devised the refund and coupon plan.”

Now for 2021

To ease things a bit for 2021, the cost for a SuperPass has been lowered to $99 — more than a 30 percent reduction in price compared to last year. A SuperPass this year provides priority registration for 2021 ProSolo events, and includes practice start tickets for those events. SuperPasses go on sale Tuesday, January 19 and can be purchased here. Those who plan to use the $25 credit on 1/19 MUST request the credit by 5pm CST on January 18. Only 185 SuperPass entries will be made available in 2021 — plan now so you don’t miss out!

This sets up for registration to open for the first event of the 2021 Tire Rack ProSolo season on February 3 at 5pm CST: the Tire Rack SCCA Charlotte ProSolo @ zMAX Dragway, scheduled for March 18–20. Registration for all 2021 ProSolo events will open to SuperPass holders six weeks prior to the the event. One week later, registration will open to everyone.
