eSports Super Tour Season 2 Prize Packages Announced

Season two of the Hoosier Racing Tire eSports Super Tour kicks off this Thursday, and we are excited to announce that this round will feature a championship prize package for each race class, complements of Competition One Racing, KONI and Hawk Performance.

The first season of the Hoosier eSports Super Tour was a come-one-come-all series meant to offer SCCA members a casual digital racing outlet during a time when analog racing was put on hold due to COVID-19. While we’re still navigating the effects of the pandemic with a sharp eye on restarting real-world events, we’re reshaping the second season of the eSports Super Tour as a two-class championship series, complete with points, a when-necessary stewarding panel, live broadcasting and, yes, prizes for the champions.

Why? Well, we know that many of our members have a competitive streak and like the idea of winning a championship, so we’re spicing things up with points and prizes for the second round of the Super Tour. Even more exciting? The prize packages will help our eSports champions transition from the virtual racing world to the thrill of being on track at a live event.

Prize Packages

F3 Formula Racer Prize Package

Competition One Racing, out of Scales Mound, IL—the prep shop that provided the last two FE2 Runoffs Champions—will provide the F3 Series Champion a seat in one of their FE2 race cars to complete an SCCA drivers school at Blackhawk Farms. The prize includes the provision of the car, prep and setup, along with team support for the driver’s school. Competition One Racing will also make the car available for the race the next day at the winner’s expense, if desired.

Global MX-5 Prize Package

Thanks to our amazing partners at KONI and Hawk, the MX-5 Series Champion will win a set of Koni Shocks, a set of Hawk pads and rotors, and a free entry into the 2020 Tire Rack Time Trials Nationals Powered by Hagerty, held at the NCM Motorsports Park in Bowling Green, KY.
