LIVE From FSAE Lincoln: Saturday

Hello from Lincoln, Nebraska and the 2017 Formula SAE Lincoln competition. We're updating this page all day long - if you're just joining us, read from the bottom up! Live results are available at results.fsaeonline.com. Keep clicking refresh for the newest, um, news!

4:20 PM: A sigh of relief as a FOURTH finisher completes endurance in an electric vehicle, the University of Pennsylvania. Prelimnary results are available at results.fsaeonline.com.

3:45 PM: It's very challenging to make it here in the electric vehicles, much less finish. The first to do just that is the University of Washington!

3:30 PM: The electrics are well underway as the site has gotten very quiet.....

3:00 PM: That's a wrap on the combustion cars. Out of the 60 starters, 32 finished! Next up: electrics!

2:30 PM: Missouri S&T takes the green flag. Since they were your autocross winners, that means we're almost through the combustion endurance event!

1:45 PM: It took us a few tries, but three finishers in a row from Georgia Southern, LSU, and Illinois to get the afternoon going.

NOON: While the workers all take a break, we'll catch everybody up. 35 cars have taken to the endurance course. By our count, 16 have completed the Endurance Event. We're just over halfway with 26 combustion cars yet to have an opportunity, as well as the ten electric cars to follow. California State Poly University - Pomona has set the fastest time on course: 1:21.214. They also completed the event, but only after changing a flat tire during the driver change.

11:15 AM: Getting ready to resume after a catastrophic engine failure from the University of Missouri - Columbia oiled down the showcase hairpin turn before a small fire. Driver and all workers are okay.

10:30 AM: After about two hours, 24 cars have taken to the endurance course. Of those, 7 have completed the event: Queen's University, University of Colorado - Denver, University of North Dakota, Portland State University, Southern Methodist University, California State University - Long Beach, and Clarkson University. You can follow along live at results.fsaeonline.com, under Results By Event.

9:30 AM: SUCCESS! The first team to finish Endurance is California State University - Long Beach! Shortly after, Portland State finished as well.

9:00 AM: The firsts team to make it to the driver change, San Diego State, and the first team to DNF, University of California - Fullerton; a mixed emotional state behind the timing trailers.

8:30 AM: Good morning from The Endurance Competition! Each team will attempt to make 16 laps of the endurance course, split evenly between two drivers. We'll do our best to keep you updated on successes and failures throughout the morning.
