Get Jacked Up!

Fun with cars often requires changing rubber on your vessel.  But many of us, be it in the paddock or on the side of the road, have seen someone making a tire change in the most dangerous of ways -- with the car jacked up but unsecure.

For those in the know, this is a terrifying sight.  Choosing to cut corners when it comes to raising up a car could be the worst and maybe last decision someone ever makes.  The folks at RoadandTrack.com, however, come to the rescue with a helpful article and video, titled Here's How to Safely and Correctly Lift Your Car Onto Jack Stands, that will keep you from getting, well, jacked up while working on a car.

And of course, the right tools are necessary to jack up a vehicle.  For insight on that, check out Tire Rack’s piece, Do You Have the Three Tools Needed to Remove Your Wheels and Tires?

Be safe out there this offseason while prepping for next year’s fun with cars.
