#TBT '89 Runoffs at Road Atlanta

The National Championship Runoffs are a 53-year-old tradition that have brought the best drivers of SCCA Club Racing together to determine Champions in a winner-take-all sprint race. The 1989 edition of the event took place at Road Atlanta amid the red clay of Georgia. The Runoffs have moved on to new locations, but the event remains the Pinnacle of Amateur Road Racing.

The following video highlights all the races from the 1989 Runoffs. Let yourself be distracted by the nostalgia of the 27-year-old TV programing. We encourage you to take a look at which cars have come and gone and which classes have changed as a result. While many things change with time, the Runoffs remain as the hallmark of the SCCA Club Racing season.
