STR has Karwan in the lead with his ND Miata over Tim Viars in an NC Miata and Noel Leslie in an S2000. There's just shy of 2 tenths separating the top 3, all in different cars! Also in the other end trophies is a dead tie between Steven Lee and Shane Chinonn-Rhoden.

In SM, a great battle for first between the top 4 is shaping up, with defending National Champion David White holding onto the top spot after Todd Kean coned a faster first run, and was eventually knocked back to 4th after Tim White and Aaron Miller took 2nd and 3rd respectively. Tragedy ensued for the White-baru, though, as in the next heat with Jennifer Vance running in SSM, the timing belt decided to depart the engine. We'll see what he jumps into to see if he can try to hold onto a trophy spot in class.

In SSR, a titanic battle ensued with Sam Strano and Grant Reeve battling for the top spot. Apparently no one told him that the Danny Popp designed course was a "power course", as he took his C5 Corvette Z06 to a nearly half second lead over Sam Strano’s C6 Corvette. Can Sam make use of the higher top speed on today’s course? We’ll find out Sunday!
