We're just a few short days away from the second in the Ohio series of Tire Rack ProSolos in Toledo. A course designed by Alex Jones will be laid out on some of the best aged concrete the midwest has to offer. Rumors still are that we are gaining additional space this year over previous years, which could result in longer courses and improved paddock area. Here's what you have to look forward to.
A-Street looks like it will once again be a great show to watch. With the Merediths Jen and Marcus bringing out their beautiful GT-350 Mustang to face off against Jeff Cashmore in his 2003 Corvette. This time we have the addition of the Original Alien himself, Mark Daddio to the class. Daddio will be driving the same 2007 that won him the A-Street title in 2014.
CSP will be a rematch of the DC ProSolo where Mike Kline came just .048 of taking the win over Billy Davis, who found time on his final right side run to take the win.
DSP will be what the Wilmington Spring ProSolo should have been. In Wilmington, John Vitamvas broke an axle stub that would put his car out of commission for the weekend. He would end up in an SSR Corvette instead of facing off against Eric Campbell and Christopher Dressler. This weekend they look to have a full class. These are some of the match-ups you will see in September at Solo Nationals.
Continuing the rematch theme, L1 will be a repeat of the Wilmington Pro where Tamra Hunt took a commanding win of Katie Lacy and Jordan Towns. Both Lacy and Towns will be looking to take down Hunt who has been very fast all year. Joining the L1 party will be Shelly Monfort who was unable to run L1 in Toledo do the the Vitamvas BMW breaking prior to the start of the event. This will once again be one of the best classes to watch at the event.
SSR will be a preview to Nationals with the usual suspects of Strano, Burns, Reeve, Luster, Braun and Savini competing for top honors. New addition Jason Kolk will be the joining the class after buying his wife the best birthday gift ever, a Corvette Z06. There is no shortage of fun to be had in SSR this weekend.
