I wanted to take a moment as the SEB Chairman to inform the community what I learned and lived as Chief Steward of the DC Pro.

We are all aware the SCCA made a large investment in upgrading our ProSolo equipment this year. We will all reap the benefits as the system matures and the staff learns the differences between our 3 generations old equipment and the new product. Like any new system there are teething pains.

In a recent release the SCCA modified the rules to ProSolo and explained that the stage lights are now integrated in the hardware of the tree. If your car had stage light issues in prior years, it was up to the starter to report it. Now the system looks for a microblink of movement in the stage lights. The system appears to be very sensitive.

Race America and the SCCA have been working on multiple firmware updates to our new system. Almost every event has had an update. We have all experienced this as a new problem that tries our patience and upsets competitors.

Every issue the staff encounters is documented for fixing. The National staff is working hard to keep a level play field and offer reruns and "do overs" when appropriate. Even though there was extensive testing before the first event, the idiosyncrasies of 3000 plus runs at a live event uncovers new issues. The staff is working hard to get these things fixed as quickly as possible. We understand it's your vacation time, your money and your commitment to the sport.
