Northern California is the place to be at the end of April as the Crows Landing Air Facility hosts back-to-back autocross events beginning April 22-24 with the 2016 TireRack Crows Landing Championship Tour, and culminating with the 2016 TireRack Crows Landing ProSolo April 29 – May 1. With temperatures expected in the mid-70's for both weekends, racers can anticipate high competition and a great surface in which to dial in their cars.

There are some interesting classes to keep an eye on, including C-Street, which is bursting at the seams with 17 entrants. Ron Bauer, who won both the Oceanside Match Tour and El Toro ProSolo in CS, has switched to STR for the Crows Tour, so watch for Jeffrey Bandes in his 2016 Mazda MX-5 to make a push for the trophy. The 12-person STR class, which includes Bauer, also has James Yom (ProSolo winner in STR) and Kevin Dietz (third at the Pro), looking to contend.

Any of the nine racers in C-Modified could claim top honors, but look for Eric Clements who was first at the Match Tour and was the fastest C-Mod car at the Pro. George Schilling will keep him on his toes. There are nine entrants in D-Prepared! Nine! That’s a lot of race tire action and it looks like it will be Mazda vs. Toyota vs. Ford.

Alex Muresan won B-Street at the El Toro ProSolo and looks to lead again in the eight-person class. A-Street just makes a class with five entrants, but watch the ladies challenge the guys with Mary Pozzi and Jami Olerich against Glen Hernandez.

In F-Street, prepare for another duel between Mark Scroggs in his Ford Mustang against Matt Ales in his BMW M3: Scroggs won the Oceanside Match Tour but Ales took home the trophy at the El Toro Pro. Also look for Des Toups and Sean O'Boyle to be nipping at their heels in the 14-person class. Want to see how fast a Honda Accord can go? Check out Scott McHugh, H-Street winner at the ProSolo, as he competes against five others, including Ed Runnion in his Ford Fiesta ST.

SSP is always a fun class to watch, especially with the big exotics coming out to play. The cars include a Dodge Viper, Audi R8, Lotus Exige S, Porsche GT2, GT3, and GT3 RS. Even with only seven registrants it's a million-dollar class! Keep your eye on Steve Lau, ProSolo champion, to lead the class.

At 22 racers, STX is one of the largest classes at Crows. Keep on eye out for Ken Motonishi (driving in a different class than at the El Toro Pro), Justin and Mack Tsang, as well as Karlton Lew. There are even some women mixing it up with the guys, as Annie Gill and Mindi Cross are both registered.

In STU, Jeff Stuart is the front-runner following a win at the Oceanside Match Tour and second-place at the ProSolo, while Jeff Wong is the favorite in STS as he carries two victories with him to Crows.

Keep an eye on Bret Norgaard as the favorite to win SMF, with the Bollenbecker duo of Diane and Peter favorites in SM. The CAM classes should also see some good action with seven registered in CAM-C, five in CAM-T, and three in CAM-S.
